About Cyber Conduct
What it is
Cyber Conduct is an independent, practical cybersecurity platform. It helps people work out what happened, why it may have happened, and what to do next when something goes wrong online — plus tools and guidance to reduce the chance of it happening in the first place.
Why it exists
Most cybersecurity information is written for professionals, not for the person who just clicked a suspicious link or got a strange SMS from "their bank". Cyber Conduct exists to close that gap with plain, calm, actionable guidance.
Who it's for
Teenagers, adults, parents, older users, and small-business owners — anyone dealing with a digital problem who needs to know what to do next, regardless of their technical background.
What it does
Provides incident guidance, a suspicious-message checker, practical tools and checklists, and a resource library — with a strong focus on the scams and risks people in South Africa actually encounter.
What it doesn't do
Cyber Conduct isn't a bank, law enforcement, a forensic investigation service, or a replacement for professional legal, financial, or emergency assistance. It provides guidance — it doesn't investigate individual incidents or guarantee security outcomes.
